$3.8 million in grant funding success for Marine Precinct
Muller Enterprise is pleased to have contributed to a successful grant funding bid that will bring $3.8m of grant funding to grow the local economy.
The funding will go towards supporting new opportunities in the marine manufacturing industry. The multi-million dollar investment will allow greater access to 22.8ha site at Harwood Island owned by Harwood Marine and has the capacity to create up to 300 skilled jobs in the Clarence Valley – propelling it forward as a hub of marine manufacturing and repair.
The grant funding has come from the NSW Government Growing Local Economies Fund, via a bid prepared by Muller Enterprise for Clarence Valley Council.
The funding bid drew on a range of inputs, including the Clarence Valley Regional Economic Development Strategy, as well as interviews, research, analysis and modelling, including inputs from a wide range of industry stakeholders stretching across from Brisbane to Perth and many people in between.
We’re very glad to have played a part in this initiative and to see substantive economic development seeds being planted to make the most of the region’s unique and distinguishing characteristics, and that the NSW Government has shared in that vision taking up this regional opportunity.
